Salvation

Salvation is God's free gift, not based on church membership, good works, or baptism. "For by grace are ye saved though faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9

To accept this invitation:

1. Realize God says you are a sinner. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
2. Recognize God's penalty for your sin. "For the wages of sin is death;" Romans 6:23
3. Reflect Christ paid for your sin with His blood. "...While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
4. Repent God says turn in your heart from your sin and trust Christ completely for salvation. "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:21
5. Receive God's gracious gift. You must ask the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and forgive your sin. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
